Official: Russia to work on debt instruments in friendly currencies

MOSCOW, Mar 1 (PRIME) -- Russia will continue working on debt instruments in the currencies of the friendly countries, and attract investors and issuers from the countries, Ivan Chebeskov, director of the Finance Ministry’s financial policy department, said on Wednesday during a forum.

“In general, we see the Russian market as a hub at least for the Eurasian Economic Union, but also for the friendly countries … Our infrastructure and market are developed, and I think that we will attract foreign investors from the friendly countries, and I mean both issuers and investors,” he said.

“Development of instruments in the friendly currencies will definitely happen very soon, it is very urgent.”
